About the author
Hi, I'm Malvika, a neurology resident. I wanted to create a website that focuses on the basic concepts of EMG/NCS using simple explanations and visual aids. There is no substitute for the practical hands-on learning experience in the EMG lab, but I hope this is a good introduction and reference.
How to use the website
I recommend reading through the website in order. Each module (except "Physiology") has a short anonymous quiz at the end to test yourself. If you want, you could do the self-test at the beginning and then the end to see how much you gained from the section and also to direct your attention to the key points. The last module, "Localization & Common Scenarios" is wordy but the most important part is the practice cases at the end. I have included a link to a website called EMG whiz, created by Dr. Zach London at University of Michigan, that is great for further practice.
